In order to be able to apply for medical job offers in Scandinavia you must fulfil the following requirements: • Be a specialist doctor, dentist or nurse • Be an EU citizen OR have long-term residency in one of the EU countries • Have your medical degree and specialist title recognised by one of the EU member countries • If your degree isn’t from the EU – having worked in one of the EU member countries for at least 3 years after your degree and title had been recognised
Every doctor, dentist, or nurse who begins the course and has already visited the new country and workplace, as well as conducted interviews with the employer and colleagues. If you accept an offer of employment, you will be given a contract that guarantees your job as long as you complete the language course.
Scandinavian employers are aware of the situation that most doctors abroad do not speak any of their languages and have approached it differently than other countries. To be more concrete, Scandinavian countries provide full support and pay the costs of language courses for the whole family, relocation costs, plane tickets and everything else in the recruitment process. You can find the details for every country further below.
We provide employment and finding a specialization in Germany, Austria and Ireland, while specialists in higher years of specialization have somewhat wider opportunities that we can most accurately discuss individually.

In case you do not belong to any of the listed medical professions, we are unfortunately not able to provide direct employment. We can help Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian/Slovenian speakers by providing a Swedish course, which you can read more about here.
It depends on the country and the availability of positions. The whole process takes several months, and in the case of Scandinavia for a language course and about a year, so you have enough time to prepare to move to your new environment.
You do not pay for our services in the employment process through us as we agree on the financial compensation with the employer only after you agree on all the conditions and sign the employment contract. If an exception is to be made, we will talk
about it and will sign a cooperation agreement before providing the service.

- depending on the province, it is necessary to know at least one official language (German, French and Dutch) at the C1 level in order to be a suitable candidate when applying for a job
In Belgium, we provide placement to specialist doctors who meet the language requirements and who can obtain a specialist license.
Obtaining a license in Belgium depends mostly on the province you are interested in. In order to obtain the most accurate information, we connect all doctors who are interested in employment in Belgium with colleagues who work in the country and who will provide support in order to obtain a license on time.
France
In order to get a job in the medical profession in France, it is necessary to speak French at the B2-C1 level. However, in the case of knowledge of French at the A2-B1 level, there is a possibility of additional language training as part of the application process. The best way to talk about this is individually, as such projects vary from specialization to specialization.
In France, we provide placement to specialist doctors and dentists who meet the language requirements and who can obtain a specialist or dental license.
Most of the projects in which we participate in France provide candidates with direct support in obtaining a license. In addition to language skills, candidates are required to have experience within the EU, and in case you meet both conditions, we can provide guidance when obtaining a license in France.
Germany
In order to be employed in the medical profession in Germany, it is necessary to obtain a medical license (Approbation), which requires knowledge of the language at a minimum B2 level. In the process of obtaining a license, it is necessary to pass an oral exam in which the quality of language proficiency is assessed. This exam takes place in front of a committee and for best results, we suggest that the level of speech and knowledge be closer to the C1 level than B2.
In Germany, we provide employment to specialist doctors, but also to doctors who have graduated from college and are looking for a specialization, which you can find out more about here. Knowledge of the language is necessary in both cases, and we provide instructions to all candidates who meet the conditions on how to obtain a license.
In the German-speaking area, the process of obtaining a license varies depending on the region you are interested in. In order to make the whole process easier for you, we connect candidates with colleagues who will provide direct information and support in the process of obtaining a license. You can find general information about the process at this link.
Austria
Obtaining a medical license in Austria requires knowledge of the German language at a high C1 level. Knowledge of the language at the required level is extremely important to Austrians, and for this reason, we provide an evaluation of the current language level in interviews with candidates.
In Austria, we provide employment to specialist doctors, but also to doctors who have graduated from college and are looking for specialization. In both cases, knowledge of German at the C1 level is necessary.
In case of interest in employment in Austria, we guide candidates through the process of obtaining a license, about which you can get information here.
Switzerland
Switzerland is one of the most demanding countries in Europe in terms of the conditions they set for foreign doctors. In Switzerland, only specialist doctors can be employed through us, and the same mostly depends on the current situation on their demand. That is why we advise all specialists to contact us directly as that is how we will provide the most accurate information for your case.
Employment in Switzerland requires knowledge of the German language at a minimum B2 level. In the case of employment in the French canton, it is necessary to know the French language at the conversational level, just as it is necessary to speak Italian for the Italian canton.
At this time, unfortunately, we are not able to provide placement specialists who don't speak German at the B2 level. If this is your situation, we advise you to focus on another country where you will be more competitive.
